In the single sample tests, only one sample is used, and the sample statistic is compared with a standard value of the population. In testing two samples/populations, simply sample statistics from two samples are compared to determine the statistical difference between them. The flow chart in Figure 6 provides a guideline to choose an appropriate two-sample statistical method/test.
