Learning Outcomes

After successfully completing the Hypothesis Testing/Inferential Statistics/Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), students will be able to 

1. Define Hypothesis Testing/Inferential Statistics/Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

2. Determine the appropriate statistical methods, including, z-test and various types of t-tests 

3. Perform the Four Steps Process (Hypothesis, Method, Result and Conclusion) of the Design of Experiments for 

   1. z-test, t-test and proportion test for Single Sample/Population/Group

   2. z-test, t-test (matched pair data, equal variance, and unequal variance) and proportion test for Two Samples/Populations/Groups

4. Analyze Data Manually using MS Excel, especially to produce inferential statistics

5. Analyze Data using Software such as Minitab and Automatic Analysis Functions in MS Excel
